The first Twitter I chose to check was Taylor Swift's. She posts often and I am pretty certain that it's actually her who posts them because she seems to let her bubbly personality flow through her tweets, and I also have noticed that she seems to be a person who is very in touch with her fans in general and this seems like this is something she would personally keep up with. She also puts up a lot of "Vote for Me" twets up a lot around awards show time, perhaps using kairos. In addition, she does seem to converse with others in the Twitter network, especially people who seem to be her friends.

Secondly, I chose Tiger Woods. Now, tiger only recently came into the Twitter game, maybe in an attempt to help rebuild his image of a guarded personal life, as we know. His Twitter page looks like it's edited by him, as he even seems to keep his guard up over the internet, while trying to have a sense of fun because that's what Twitter is all about. Tiger does answer fan questions fairly often, which is fairly laudable considering the amount that he is probably asked. Tiger's image is still in disarray, and this may be the best way he knows to repair it.

Both celebrities seem to reflect their real-life personalities on Twitter, leading me to believe that it is actually them who are editing the page itself. At the same time, though, Taylor Swift's twitter reflects outward kindness, while Tiger's still reflects a sense of guardedness.

I think it is good for celebrities to interact socially with their fans because it is a way to give back. I'm sure little kids are just in awe when Tiger Woods tweets to them, or Taylor Swift tweets a picture from backstage, and it just makes their day. While originally not a fan of Twitter, if used in the right way, it has its plus sides.
