Poor Lindsay Lohan. I cannot say she has ever been my favorite actress, but I think that is largely due to the reputation that is associated with her. Even on the front of Vanity Fair, under Lindsay's name reads: "What went so wrong" which automatically presents a negative image to the audience. I wish she could go back to her glory days of the Parent Trap and even Freaky Friday, but after all the DUIs and jail time, her stability is very questionable to her audience and movie directors. I have not read much in depth about Lindsay Lohan's drama before this article, but even after reading it and picking up other information from other media, I still am left with much uncertainty concerning Lindsay. Although there is solid evidence for most of her misdemeanors, you want to give her some benefit of the doubt that tabloids have exaggerated some of her misbehavior. Unfortunately, Lindsay's self defense does not give me much confidence with quotes like: "The second D.U.I was such a shit show...I just don't wanna go into it". I do feel bad for Lindsay though when it comes to her family situation. From what I can tell it seems rather unsupportive with a destructive relationship with her father. I'm sure this contributed to her wild behavior when she hit Los Angeles young and on her own. Lindsay often mentions her "unstructured" life which is much different than that of the average teenager for a reason, it is dangerous. A very shocking line to me was a member of Lindsay's paparazzi saying "I might as well take a vacation...there's nothing going on without Lindsay". Now that has got to be a lot of pressure to have your life constantly on camera considering this man had been following her for 2 YEARS! Overall, it is sad the way Hollywood has effected Lindsay's life and I'm honestly glad my every fault is not on display for the world's entertainment.

Celeb Obsession & Lindsay Lohan
Nowadays it's almost hard to realize how consumed our society is with pop culture and idolizing celebrities because it has become such a social norm. I didn't really notice the intensity of it until after reading the "Seeing by Starlight: Celebrity Obsession" article. It is almost frightening how celebrities, who are humans just like the rest of us, manage to live in a "parallel universe" that the rest of us strive to be a part of. Everyday fashion, hair styles, cars, and homes are modeled after those of celebrities everyday, providing the average human with a feeling of value. Personally, I think especially during middle school, I was guilty of the common idolizing of stars, but as I became older individuality became more important to me. Without a doubt it is still fun to look up the "Star Tracks" in People every week, but I try to stay grounded as best I can when it comes to celeb stalking. For me, my guilty spot would definitely be the influence of celebrity fashion on the current styles that are "in".
