"Sarah Palin Nude Photo Scandal"

This tabloid coverage of Sarah Palin seems to be the typical cover story, with large, bold lettering that grabs the average house wife's eye as she checks out at the grocery store. The audience is anyone who is interested at all in Sarah Palin's personal and political life, since the title addresses them both. The article itself talks about Palin's marriage and how it was a facade to further her political career. It is very vaguely worded, and heavily uses support from it's main source, one of Palin's "once loyal aides" who is now planning to write a book. Sources for tabloid articles are rarely credible, so who knows whether or not their source was once an aide to Palin. The kairos of the article is prevalent because the bids for the 2012 presidential election are soon to be announced, and Palin's chances could be hurt by all the tabloid press she receives. The title also suggests that there are e-mails out there that could end Palin's marriage and possibly her political career. This adds another layer to the story, making more people want to read about the disintegration of one of politics' biggest celebrities life.
They say all press is good press, but in the case of tabloids, I don't think that's true. The bad press that the tabloids provide put doubt into the public's mind, which will make it especially hard for Palin to change many opinions about her.
